This super easy Carnivore recipe for those on a Carnivore diet uses bacon as tacos, i.e., instead of a tortilla, you’ll use bacon!

  • NOTE: This recipe includes Machaca, aka beef jerky chew. To make Machaca, you can season 100% American beef with various spices like black peppercorns, sea salt, and smoked paprika. Then you need to slow-cook the beef for about 5 hrs. Then, let it dry and shred it to get the best result.

How to Make Carnivore Diet Bacon Tacos with Egg for Breakfast

Here are the ingredients and instructions you need to make Carnivore diet bacon tacos with egg for breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 8 strips of bacon
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tbsp reserved bacon fat
  • 1 oz. Machaca
  • Salt and shredded cheese (as much as you like)

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10-15 mins.
  2. Cut the bacon strips in half and lay them side by side to make the base of the bacon tortilla you’ll weave.
  3. Fold every other bacon strip up and over itself.
  4. Place one strip crosswise and fold the other one to weave them together.
  5. Do the same for all bacon strips and create the bacon tortilla.
  6. Put a cookie sheet on the tortillas you just made to keep the bacon straight and avoid curling.
  7. Put the bacon tortilla in the oven you preheated and let it bake for about half an hour.
  8. Check it after about 30 minutes; if it’s crispy, it’s done.
  9. Heat the reserved bacon fat on a skillet.
  10. Add Machaca and stir and cook it for 4-5 mins.
  11. Beat the eggs well and add them to Machaca, and let the eggs cook. You can add some salt if you like.
  12. Bring the tortillas out of the oven, let them cool, and then fill them with the Machaca mixture. You can also add some cheddar if you like. Now, just take a look at the edible piece of art you’ve made! Bon Appetit!
